Allan is the music director at Durham’s Judea Reform Congregation and artistic director of Women’s Voices Chorus, and was a choral conductor for Duke Chapel Music for eight years. No audition or monthly commitment is required – just show up at The ArtsCenter to sing. In addition to the two songs we record, we always have one or two additional bonus songs from the featured musical as an added sing-along! This gives singers an opportunity to really dive into each show, and have a full experience of the music.Įverybody is welcome, regardless of ability! We are a drop-in chorus that invites all people who love to sing – regardless of experience – to join us. We spend about 40 minutes learning each song, before moving on to a final performance, which is filmed and recorded. Either way, the selected show is perennial favorite, and the songs are gorgeous. From West Side Story to Grease, and many in between, we select musicals that may have started life on the Broadway stage, or were originally released as films. Do you like to sing?
